Einleitung
Windows Server 2008 eröffnet Ihnen die Möglichkeit, reichhaltige Webinhalte sicher und zuverlässig bereitzustellen. Gleichzeitig senken Sie die Infrastrukturkosten durch die leichtere Verwaltung sowie verbesserte Diagnose-, Entwicklungs- und Applikationswerkzeuge.
Windows Server 2008 stellt eine einheitliche Plattform für das Web-Publishing bereit. Diese integriert Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.0, ASP.NET, Windows Communication Foundation, Windows Workflow Foundation und Windows SharePoint Services 3.0. IIS 7.0 stellt eine wesentliche Erweiterung für existierende, Windows-basierte Webserver dar und spielt eine zentrale Rolle bei der Integration von Webplattform-Technologien.
 
Mit seiner eingebauten Servervirtualisierungs-Technologie ermöglicht Ihnen Windows Server 2008, Ihre Kosten zu reduzieren, Ihre Hardware-Auslastung zu steigern, Ihre Infrastruktur zu optimieren und die Verfügbarkeit Ihrer Server zu erhöhen.
 
Windows Server 2008 enthält neue Terminaldienste-Funktionen, um entfernte Computer und Geschäftsanwendungen besser miteinander zu verbinden. Terminal Services RemoteApp integriert Anwendungen, die auf einem Terminal-Server laufen, vollständig in den Desktop von Benutzern. Diese Anwendungen verhalten sich so, als würden sie lokal auf dem Computer des Benutzers laufen. Remoteanwendungen und lokal installierte Programme können nahtlos nebeneinander auf dem PC ablaufen. Terminal Services Web Access gestattet es, auf Remoteanwendungen von einem Webbrowser aus zuzugreifen. Dadurch stehen Anwendern noch flexiblere Wege zum Zugriff auf Anwendungen zur Verfügung, die remote auf einem Terminal-Server ausgeführt werden. Zusammen mit dem Terminal Services Gateway erlauben es diese Funktionen, entfernte Desktops und Remoteanwendungen auf Firewall-freundliche Weise HTTPS-geschützt und damit über sicherere Verbindungen zu nutzen.
 
Dieser ZFI/Microsoft-Kurs bereitet Informatiker für die Tätigkeit als Enterprise Administrator vor. Die Teilnehmenden lernen, Applikations-Infrastrukturen für verschiedenste Geschäfts- und Technische Anforderungen richtig zu planen.

Before attending this course, students must have one or more of the following:
Intermediate understanding of networking. For example, how TCP/IP functions, addressing (including DHCP), name resolution (DNS/WINS), and connection methods (wired, wireless, VPN), NET+ or equivalent knowledge
Intermediate understanding of network operating systems. For example, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003 etc.
Intermediate understanding of security best practices. For example, file system permissions, authentication methods, Kerberos etc.
Intermediate knowledge of server and network hardware.
Conceptual understanding of Active Directory (AD). For example, AD terminology, AD object types
Hands-on experience with more than one application service such as:
